Gary Sobers achieves the highest personal score, scoring 375 against England

Finishing our 500-piece Parc Asterix jigsaw puzzle before catch the bus to EuroDisney for taking pictures of another parade, the park and the family before off to Charles de Gaulles airport. The countryside was landscaped and owned by Disney to create a "cordon sanitaire" of no wildlife around the park.

The flight home and the Hotel Marriott coach was waiting at Terminal 4 to take us back to that hotel car park for our for journey home.

News from the Bosnian town of Goradsne where the Serbs were defying the United Nations measures and advancing on the enclave anyway. Gary Sobers achieves the highest personal score, scoring 375 against England.

As soon as I awoke, I got started on the puzzle again but time and the family were against me as we had to pack and leave the hotel by 11.00am or be charged for another day. I tackled this problem, and the excessive waits for luggage storage, by transferring the jigsaw out onto the one table in the hall where the girls continued it as Diana and I did the packing.

Once packed, we had to get those bags looked after for the day and this involved filling in and fitting labels and then queuing for another hour to deposit them! We pitied the poor arrivals who not only had to queue for the registration desk, but also for the baggage check as well as their rooms were not ready! Eventually, we got the baggage taken care of and the girls finished the jigsaw so that we could all catch the bus to EuroDisney for one last look.

The weather was the best so far and I took the cine camera to take pictures of another parade, the park and the family before we had to leave in late afternoon. Back to the hotel to collect our luggage and, leaving it outside in the children's' care whilst waiting for the bus, I took Diana into the Chuck Wagon for a coffee. All on the VEA bus with our luggage and then off to Charles de Gaulles on a milder and better day, this time getting quite hot in the bus. The countryside is very different from England, although many of the crops are the same.

The chalk soil looks untidy when worked and left bare and there are few birds around and I failed to see any game birds at all. The huge area around EuroDisney seems to be similarly landscaped and owned by them to create a "cordon sanitaire". They obviously learned this from Anaheim where the surrounding land was developed by others without profit or advantage to Disney. I spent the rest of my francs on a meal for the family at the airport "Burger King" and they thoroughly enjoyed a return to familiar food and I appreciated the lesser cost; even if it was in an airport terminal.

The flight home was all right and the Hotel Marriott coach was waiting at Terminal 4 to take us and our luggage back to that hotel car park where our car was waiting safely for the car journey home. A call on the way to tell Daniel we were coming and then home by our usual bedtime. We just brought the bags in, and whilst Diana unpacked what we urgently needed, I opened the mail and listened to our telephone messages for anything urgent. It was nice to get back in our own beds and I was soon fast asleep.

The news is still of the crisis in the Bosnian town of Goradsne where the Serbs were defying the United Nations measures and advancing on the enclave anyway, creating an international crisis. Cricket news was of the West Indies scoring a huge first innings against England in the final test with Lara breaking the long-standing world record of Gary Sobers for the highest personal score. He scored 375.
