The day was forecast to be cloudy and showery, but it became warm and sunny later on. We decided to have a day trip to Great Yarmouth and, because the girls had chosen Pleasurebeach, we took along Sam. He had already had a good run first thing and then, once we arrived and bought the girls all-day wristbands, we took him along the seafront to the harbour entrance. We had hoped to see a few ships entering and leaving harbour but, though they came before and afterwards, there were none whilst we were watching!

Back to have lunch with the girls and then, whilst they returned for yet more rides, Diana and I did some shopping around the town centre. We got rather too hot and bothered and I missed having a sun hat to keep me shaded from the hot sun.
