To Redgrave for a family visit, finding Jane and her boyfriend visiting as well as Mum and Freda, Alf and Chris

Sam was well-behaved all day and we set off for Redgrave for a family visit, finding Jane and her boyfriend visiting as well as Mum and Freda, Alf and Chris.

Exchanging presents and playing a game of Cluedo and then home on a dark and dingy night in time to fed and exercise Sam and to enjoy my photo album of the Harnser building process

Sam was very good again, sleeping through the night and then being quite obedient during the day. I spent some time with him this morning and tried some rifle shooting for pigeons without success. I heard a fusillade of shots from shot-guns somewhere in the Great Paxton/Offords area and thought that one of the guns must have been an eight bore judging by the depth of the boom. After lunch and attending to Sam, we set off for Redgrave and were there an hour and quarter later to find Jane and her boyfriend visiting as well as Mum and Freda, Alf and Chris. We stopped for an hour and a half, exchanging presents and then playing a game of Cluedo with Nanny which was nice.

At least the freezing fog and frost has ceased but the weather is still very depressing. Home in time to fed and exercise Sam and then to have tea. Not much on the TV this evening - a plethora of choice but a famine of quality - and so I updated my journal and then put photographs in my new album that Daniel and Angela had given me to chronicle the process of building and fitting out "The Harnser".
