The day catching up at home, sorting out my office and winding down my collection of Council papers, but continuing the quest for a proper Paxton to Longsands school bus service.

I was sound asleep when woken at 7.00am and It took me some time to revive. After getting showered, washing my hair and shaving, I still made breakfast with the girls who both started their exams today. Once they were off, I went to my office and began sorting out several layers of debris that had accumulated since the election campaign and, by lunchtime, I was still at it and getting tired and hungry. The process continued after lunch until had packaged up all of my old council papers and was ready to drop them off at John Brown's house in Perry.

I also took a call and attended to the matter of school buses from Paxton to Longsands by writing a letter to all concerned to try and get some action at this week's Parish Council Meeting. I rushed over to Nigel's again, where he was playing host to a Spotted Flycatcher that obliged me, and then did the tour and delivered my other things before coming home. I spent some time with the girls and then finished off tidying my room but, being tired with working inside on such a nice day. took a ride to the old Wray House garden in The Paxton Pits Nature Reserve to see the Nightingales nesting there. I caught glimpses of the singing males but was sorry that I could not see the females on the well-concealed nests. Home to spend time updating these last few days journal which have been quite busy. Yesterday, I chased up the timber suppliers for quotations but I did not hear from them today. I also received the Range Rover parts and have written to several garages for quotes to save the money on using Marshalls who are too expensive.
