I decided to take my Reliant for a run round Little Paxton which was illegal but great fun!

Improving the garage electrics, commissioning the de-humidifier and running the Reliant before packing, loading up the inflatable and driving to Norfolk where we settled into the Paxton Princess. It stayed dry today and was sunny and warm at times and being clear, seemed to get cooler this evening.

I did not have to get up so abnormally early this morning and so had a more relaxed start to the day. Breakfast with the girls and then my morning chores whilst Diana went on her way to St Neots and her shopping and slimming club. I wheeled the Reliant out of the garage and set to work on the garage electrics. The task was to install power points at the rear of the garage for the battery charger and de-humidifier and on the outside for use there. Also to re-wire the lighting so that it could be switched from beside the garage door and to provide a light in the boiler room. I beavered away before and after lunch and ended up very pleased with the results. All I needed were a couple of accessories and I could complete the job another time. I installed the de-humidifier and put it up on top of the boiler room, grazing my chin in the process!

This afternoon, with some time to spare and the Reliant battery well-charged, I decided to try to start it and actually succeeded much to my surprise. In fact, all of the systems were still working perfectly after two years and so I decided to take it for a run round Little Paxton which was illegal but great fun! Some time to clear up and then I packed everything away and loaded the Range Rover with things for my trip to Norfolk. Daniel helped me to put the inflatable on the roof rack and I lashed it on securely for the journey. After tea, Diana and I packed, and we had left by 6.15pm and were in Norfolk before 9.00pm after stopping at Snetterton for a break and drink on the way.

Once there, we noticed that Mr Smith had completed the drive to the garage which looked quite amazing. It has worked out just right and, after removing the inflatable from the roof, I was able to get the Range Rover in and lock it away for the night. We unloaded the car and Diana settled us into the Paxton Princess as I set up the shore power and got the inflatable up on to the davits. Di then watched a bit of TV as I typed up my journal for the last two days and we had our bedtime drinks and retired to our bunks. It stayed dry today and was sunny and warm at times and being clear, seemed to get cooler this evening.
