The St Neots Town Mayor, Cllr Derek Giles Mayor, that I had recently got elected running a successful local campaign, proclaimed 'Let St Neots flourish'.
He launched a business initiative to forge closer links between the Town Council and the business community, with the aim of promoting opportunities for St Neots.

The Town Council were now seeking invitations to meet with local companies and learn more about the products and services offered by these firms.
The Council believes that this understanding will enable them to develop and promote St Neots as an attractive commercial location.
Launching the initiative, Town Mayor Cllr Derek Giles, said, “This is not a bun fight. By finding out about local businesses I think that the Councillors will be better equipped to make decisions which affect our town.”
One plan within the initiative is to pursue business links at the Annual Meeting of the towns twinned with Faches Thumesnil, including representatives from Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Greece and Rumania.
The Mayor has offered to present a portfolio from each company to their counterparts at the meeting to provide a direct contact into towns across Europe.
