More work fixing the water leak in The Jolly and also in Harnser after taking the boat out for breakfast in the village and some nice play between times in Horning.
Later, cleaning The Paxton Princess as well with the power washer set. Then watching my favourite film, “The Sting” in the evening

I was very tired and groggy this morning and it took some time to work out whether it was lack of sleep or too much alcohol that was causing the problem.
In fact, I think it was lack of liquids combined with those two factors. Either way, I had trouble getting going.
We sat and then lay on the futon with it back in the sofa position and eventually she sat astride me as I lay underneath and enjoyed her making most of the motion as I was pinned in that restricted space.
This hardly gave me any more energy and it was somewhat later that we got out to work. In the meanwhile, we took Sam for a walk and ended up in the village centre, buying a newspaper and taking a full fried breakfast in the garden of the Café with the dog at my side.
Eventually back to work and my first chore was to repair a water leak that was wetting the bathroom carpet. The pipe-work to the hand basin was loose but I lacked the specialised tool to tighten it in that confined space and so had to make do with two pairs of mole-grips and a lever to do the job.
Then I tackled The Jolly, which we had previously to beach last winter with a water leak. It was a perished “O”-ring in the drain plug. Wiggly helped me launch the boat and back on with the engine and we had a short trip along the dyke and river front and all was well.
No bread to accompany our soup and salad for lunch and so Wiggly had to go out and get some shopping whilst I used the computer to pick up my E-mail and restart this journal.
The late afternoon, preparing the Paxton Princess for its clean-up. By mooring it outside the boat-shed and rigging up the power washing set, I was able to get Wiggly dressed up in waterproofs and watch her clean off the outside.
We toyed with the idea of going out in the evening but the cinemas had little on of interest and we were due an early night.
Instead, I persuaded her to join me watching my favourite film, “The Sting”. Despite her previous reluctance to watch it, we both thoroughly enjoyed it.
To bed a little earlier than of late.
