The long and slow journey back from Edinburgh to Eynesbury where we arrived too late for Cathy's video viewing of the last play by their group, The Stagefright Theatre Company.

Missing the girls but finding Daniel at The Hayling View where he appreciated my help with his car repairs.

Wiggly's car had been damaged with paint-stripper all down side whilst we had been away.

The news is of an integrated and strong NATO air attack on the Bosnian Serb artillery positions with planes from the US, UK and France taking part with one French plane shot down.

We made the effort to try to get up early for our journey back but Wiggly was more helpful than I because I was suffering from the amount I had drunk last night and the discomfort from my aching legs and sore blisters.

We eventually got down stairs for breakfast and enjoyed our breakfast and then embarked upon a long and slow journey back from Edinburgh to Eynesbury, with roadworks and weekend traffic causing much delays.

We were getting back late and tired and so had to cancel our attendance at an evening video session at Cathy's where they were showing the recording of the last play by their group, The Stagefright Theatre Company.

Once back, I unloaded everything and them left Wiggly to unpack whilst I paid a visit to Hayling View hoping to see the girls but they had been taken out by Di to see film so could not see them.

Daniel was in with is friend Jason watching StarTrek on TV but I talked to him about his car repairs and he was very grateful for my help with this problem of his.

I also picked up my mail and a big bill for Thormaid which was upsetting and the mixed survey report for West Street. In it, the value was confirmed as being all right but several drawbacks were pointed out and little encouragement given for offering the vendors more money which they seem to need to purchase their replacement house.

Sarah phoned me in the evening about the kitchen but, it being complicated and the occasion not being convenient, I told her we would discuss and resolve the whole thing on Monday.

We also came back to another shock and frustration as Wiggly's car had been damaged with paint-stripper all down side whilst we had been away. Evidently a neighbour had something similar happen the previous week and so I insisted that Wiggly report it to the police.

The evening went quite quickly with us just doing domestic tasks but we did walk out with Sam and called in at the Montagu Square pub on the way back for a beer.

With all these neighbourhood problems to cope with I was appalled to see a family just throw down an empty Coke can outside our house when they had finished with it and I caught up with them in my car and tackled them about it but they seemed totally unconcerned!

This follows the shelling of a Sarejevo market where women and children were amongst the victims killed and maimed.
