I was moving into Montague Street with Wiggly as my marriage with Diana was coming to an end

A good month of weather, this was when my affair came to a head and my marriage became virtually over.

Nigel's shooting incident was the subject of TV news broadcasts with his subsequent arrest being an issue I had to help with. Both him and my friend Jim were going through relationship issues.

Building work was continuing in Horning as Roy’s department store suffered serious fire damage.

With my relationship with Wiggly deepening, we were out for meals, shopping and even taking trips on Lady Martina. I was hosting my last outings with Diana with whom I was still suffering parental problems with Debbie together.

The venereal disease, caught courtesy of Wiggly, was being treated but accelerated my separation with Diana with whom I could not confide the matter.

The Relate Counselling meeting with Diana was quite a stressful exercise, but a useful one too, though could not change the outcome.

I was moving into Montague Street with Wiggly and reorganising our working space there and she was being the perfect mistress and temptress.

I still found time to work on elections, updated my phone and computer and continued to manage the LibDem election commitments winning all of the Eynesbury and Eaton Socon District seats.

This whilst still fighting the St Neots Town Council races and supporting fund-raising events and activities.

.The weather had improved, and we had some gloriously sunny days with humid weather turning cooler

With much going on in my personal life, it was not a great month for shooting and sporting activities. Jim had called round but chatted a while about his own relationship issues but at least I managed to quarter Sam across some old stubble for his exercise and to lessen my tension.

He actually found a pair of partridges but bumped them as I stopped off on my way at Holme Mills, Biggleswade to look at Jordon’s. There, I was also able give him a walk alongside the River Ivel to keep him happy

The main news of the month was of Nigel's shooting incident which by now was the subject of TV news broadcasts and then his subsequent arrest becoming an issue.

It was me that had to vouch for him and get him home from the police station, after which we had a good chat as I helped him unwind, agreeing to stay overnight for a while to further calm things down. After staying the night at Hail Weston House, I joined Nigel and Sue for breakfast the following morning before moving on.

When over in Horning, I was also working at Harnser on my computer projects as the carpenter finished off the inside of my new room and I stayed on as the carpet fitter arrived to measure for the attic after which he carpeted the Paxton Princess.

I also met up with Mr. Hurrell of Wroxham builders to authorise the next phase of building work. Locally, it was also depressing to see the fire damage to Roy's department store but they were pledged to recover from it in time.

With my relationship with Wiggly deepening, I was taking her out for meals and for nights at the cinema to watch "Boys on the Side", for example, and she accompanied me for the drive to London via the Futon Centre in North London to visit the new High & Mighty in Knightsbridge for the grand opening of their Tall Shop.

There I purchased some trousers, two shirts and a waistcoat which were all very nice. Then to Horning together where we had a drink in the pub and collected some takeaway food from Mr Chann's to eat at the house

After the acute separation trauma with Diana, we still set off for our Marriott Courtyard Hotel Leamington Spa weekend together. Despite the problems of our relationship, our children were still a priority, and I was helping Della with her project, transferring £2,000 to Daniel for his computer.

Whilst we were away, he phoned in desperation because Debbie had gone missing for the night. Once back, I tackled her concerning her illicit night out with her friend Charlotte to Cambridge and had to insist that Mr. and Mrs. Conroy come to take her home.

By way of gifts on our return, we gave Della her kite and Debbie her bag and flew the former on the games lawn. Diana waited up for me for bedtime with some type of reconciliation in mind, but I became stricken with upset stomach and being violently sick in a bowl after a Little Chef meal.

We had a family day and trip to see "Rob Roy", which was a long but very good dramatic film but I spent the rest of the day in bed, tossing and turning, alternatively hot and cold and with my food poisoning illness, slowly getting better with time

Despite all of my personal issues, I still found time to work on elections. I ordered a Nokia 2110 Vodaphone and a new notebook computer and then organised the postal/proxy votes. and got our St Neots Town election’s Ears computer data from Shire Hall In Cambridge to form the new electoral database.

There was a setback when I had a row with Sally and Wiggly over the need for canvassing after I had been stressed working on the new version of Ears and the data files to get it all working.

I was fed up and ended up offering to withdraw from the Priory/Eynesbury campaign if they would not cooperate. There then followed a reconciliation with apologies from Sally and Wiggly accepted as I made last minute arrangements on the Eve of Poll, sorted out computer problems and organising the "Please Vote Today" delivery lists.

Which resulted in some very good election day organisation. We managed to win all of the Eynesbury and Eaton Socon seats, to thwart the Tories, Labour and Ross McKay's breakaways

Having overcome all these computer problems to achieve a successful polling day, we met up by arrangement at Sally's for lunch to celebrate and to sort out the election paperwork. There then followed the Liberal Democrat Jumble Sale and LibDem Thank You Party with local LibDem activists.

After visiting Glisson Road for election materials, I resumed my local campaigning with Sally Wiggly and drove to The House of Commons at Westminster for a LibDem reception on the terrace.

No rest as I then got over to Pathfinder House for the Annual District Meeting of the Huntingdonshire District Council and then on to The Priory Centre for the Town Council meetings that followed; our LibDem wings now being spread to influence all these council chambers.

The Eynesbury By-Election, delayed by our candidate’s demise, was still outstanding and so I spent an evening working on the repaired version of EARS sent back by one of the support specialists. Now we needed to see if this would work at last!

After these elections, my work was not done as I met the new Town Councilor, Chris Howes at Eaton Ford with Rob Kirkham to discuss and resolve our LibDem FOCUS advertising plans, collecting from Shire Hall the disk that I needed with the St Neots Area business addresses thereon.

After completing and emailing some LibDem publicity work, I managed to get the database working in order to prepare the letters for the LibDem advertising sales reps to use There followed a real struggle later in the day to get the LibDem mail merge working on the database at the same time as printing everything with the logo and all else

Following this election success, Diana had left her congratulations in the form of a bouquet and message in the kitchen, but my mind was elsewhere as I had to drive to the Cambridge Addenbrookes Clinic 1A to get my warts zapped again.

Unfortunately, I could not tell Diana why and, once I did get back to The Hayling View, I had a huge problem with Di and many tears and emotion over my absence with Wiggly. I had to leave her in tears, utterly inconsolable.

Thus was the peak of emotion and upset at this stage, with my venereal disease caught from Wiggly, combined with my need to protect Diana from infection, precipitating the break-up.

When I was walking Sam, morning and evening, Di was sticking to me like glue and when returning in the early hours, Diana was hysterical, sobbing uncontrollably; even crying out on Debbie's Birthday about my affair with Wiggly.

And so, now I was staying at Montague Street, fixing some property issues for Wiggly whilst there, often leaving Sam to sleep in the car outside.

Wiggly was very mature for her age and her original doubts about our age difference were soon dispelled once we became closer room before back to Wiggly at Montagu Street after and, Nigel's advice was neither to move in with Wiggly nor back with Diana on a permanent basis but to find my own place locally to St Neots

And so, this month had become a tale of two relationships; the declining one with Diana with the problems and issues of parting and the growing and developing one with Louise ironing out the wrinkles and problems accordingly.

I finally managed to get Diana calmed down for Debbie's Birthday tea and then Diana had arranged an appointment with a counsellor for the morning with whom we would discuss our relationship. The Relate Counselling meeting with Diana was quite a stressful exercise, but a useful one too, as Diana was at last able to discuss her emotions with somebody else and express her anger and feelings.

After this, I had had some porridge and was recovering something of my old self and so kept the family company whilst we all went to McDonalds for some lunch. I still joined Diana for our weekly visit to Cambridge and had a relaxed day for Diana and I in Leamington where we had a Chinese meal at The Rendezvous and then saw the film "Outbreak".

There followed an early sex attack from a naked Diana and we then came home via a stunning Warwick Castle visit viewing Bonnie Prince Charlie's shield, the Kingmaker's armour and Cromwell's death mask.

There followed another predictable and harrowing counselling appointment for Diana and I which helped little and making my way back to Paxton worrying about not being able to telephone Wiggly and tell her what was happening. I was then grounded suffering from the food poisoning with Diana in Paxton

With Wiggly, we were driving to Norfolk to eat at The Floating Restaurant in Norwich riverside before going on to Harnser for the night. Wiggly  had booked a day's holiday, towing The Jolly there and using it to cruise across the river to the pub and, after a drink there with Sam.

Then to bed after to watch the film, "Nine and a Half Weeks" but we broke off, made mutually satisfying love and fell asleep. Then ‘home’ in time to drop Wiggly off with her things and to London ending the evening at The Chelsea Jazz Club, followed by the whole day and night lovemaking with Wiggly and I  falling asleep in one-another's arms.

There followed a traumatic day finding what I thought were three new warts and then attending the Clinic accordingly, who made little of  my concerns, Thereafter, moving into Montague Street with Wiggly and reorganising our working space there and settling down for the night together with Wiggly being the perfect mistress and temptress so that we eventually earned our sleep after the exertions of the night.  Wiggly was experiencing doubts about the future of her company department
