Waking up with Wiggly, troubled by our lovemaking and work priorities and then off to quarter Sam across some old stubble, finding a pair of partridges but bumping them.
Then to meet the new Town Councillor, Chris Howes at Eaton Ford, with Rob Kirkham to discuss and resolve FOCUS advertising plans.
Then home to Paxton for the rest of the day, ordering a new notebook computer and helping Della with her project
I was first to wake at 6.45am and, mindful of the time that Wiggly and I would be away from each other, I tried to caress her and get her interested in making love.

She was too tired and rejected my advances and so, feeling miffed, I went down to get the morning tea and then brought her mail up and a huge computer magazine for me to read.
After fifteen minutes stony silence a frustrated Wiggly announced that we were "fundamentally incompatible because I always wanted to make love whilst she was asleep and she whilst I read computer magazines".
After this, I tried to reconcile things and we embraced as we quickly got ready to leave, but there was a hurt and distant feeling between us as we parted.
I took the car to the Coneygear, dressed up in boots and my camouflage jacket and gave Sam a very good walk; quartering him across some old stubble. He found a pair of partridges but could not work them out and bumped them.
Next, was a visit to Eaton Ford, to the home of new Town Councillor, Chris Howes who I met with Rob Kirkham to discuss and resolve FOCUS advertising plans. It was a good meeting, and we came up with some good plans.
Then home to The Hayling View. Only the cleaner was there and so I first unpacked the car and let Sam loose in the garden, then played back my messages and returned a couple of calls, and then commissioned my computer to run Email.
I composed a nice note to Wiggly, asking her not to blame either of us but to make allowances for the circumstances which always conspired to keep us apart.
It was after lunch that her reply came and she was in a bad way; depressed and fed up by us being apart but, apart from trying to comfort her with another soft Email, there was not much I could do.
I popped out later and delivered two roses, a pot plant and some bananas from my conservatory. In doing so, I met Diana driving back from the Ernulf fitness centre and had to explain myself upon my return! I dismissed it as delivering notes about the candidate nominations for Eynesbury but she had already been upset with Daniel not being able to find me by telephone in the last couple of days.
I explained that by saying that I knew what Daniel wanted but was insisting that he discuss it properly with me upon my return.
Earlier I had caught up on some deskwork and made quite a few calls to arrange for carpets to be fitted in Harnser the day after and for the local Liberal Democrats to get access to a computer database of business addresses.
i came with me for Sam's afternoon walk after a tea of omelette and toast. Daniel was very excited today about changing car and came back at lunchtime to see us about the money.
I insisted that he give us a full account of what he wanted to do and of his financial position and then we agreed to what he wanted. In return, he reviewed his computer magazine advertisements, and I took his recommendation and ordered a new notebook computer.
He drove off to buy his car in the evening, whilst I spent a little time with the girls, helped Della with her project and then typed up this last few day’s journal.
By agreement with Diana, to bed at 11.00pm, tired again after another hectic day and exhausted by the constant need to reassure and placate the people in my life.
