Another day of exceptional discomfort and irritation struggling to get medical attention. Diana helped look after me and Wiggly was very upset with me for "running back to wifey". England won a splendid Rugby Union international match against Australia today.

I had a very bad night with the itchiness almost unbearable so that the only thing was to get up and do some computer work to take my mind of of it and get some work done.

Back for an hour or two at dawn but that was the only sleep that I got. Out with Sam before taking the girls to the bus stop and Della was willing to walk him for a change.

It was the day for Diana's appointment with the Relate councillor and so we both went to the surgery to see if I see a doctor as well. We first had to drive to Sawtry to put the Land Rover in for a service and telephoned continuously for half an hour only to be told that the first "emergency" appointment available was after 4.00pm.

However, such was the weight of demand from queues of people that the on-call Doctor Swainsco turned up and took another surgery session into which I eventually got after an hour's wait.

Unfortunately, he could not shed any light on the possible cause and his only decision was to carry on until further symptoms developed which was not very good. Diana and I opted to go home for a little while and then carry on to Peterborough to lunch, the cinema and to collect my car.

A reasonable lunch at a Pizza place near to the cinema and then the film which was "Sarah & Jack" or some-such all about a mother dying and the father taking over the care of her baby child and eventually finding a wife as a new mother.

In view of my rash, I survived the afternoon quite well but then the film was very enjoyable. Home to get Debbie to walk the dog and then an evening on my computer and Email exchange.

Wiggly was very upset with me for "running back to wifey" even though I could not possibly do anything else being so indisposed. Debbie was getting on well with her examinations and both her and Della were relieved to have asked me whether Mum and I are going to get divorced or separated and for me to have told them no(meaning not at this stage).

Very late to bed again after working on until tired enough to try to overcome the irritation and get some sleep. Unfortunately, the plan did not work and I had hardly any in the end.

England won a splendid Rugby Union international match against Australia today with the winning three points coming from a spectacular and well-worked team effort to get a drop goal just as extra time seemed inevitable.

Scotland were less lucky against New Zealand and do not go through to the semi-finals.
