To the Guilded Balloon where we bought tickets to see Scottish comedian Fred Macauley

After sorting out the LibDem Press Release with John Roscoe, the long drive from Eynesbury to Edinburgh and a meal at a nearby seafood restaurant.

Then to see our first event of the fringe festival, Scottish comedian, Fred Macauley at. the Gilded Balloon.

A long walk after to the Mambo Club where it took a while for the atmosphere to get going but we eventually ended up dancing until tired to bed.

I had left the organiser alarm on and it woke us up at 7.00am exactly. We still relaxed with a cup of tea for a short while before getting up, showered, dressed and packed.

We took our time in packing up things and getting ready to leave so as to be in good humour.

At least we did not have Sam to worry about which made things easier. A call from Roscoe just as we were leaving, rejecting our Press Release criticising the police and asking for it to be rewritten.

Wiggly was quite upset with this development but I took it positively as at least he was back on the case and would presumably still be good for FOCUS layout which Wiggly also gave him at the same time.

We left at 9.30am, dropping off our various letters in the local post box as we left. The journey was long and tiring, but we did stop twice for petrol and refreshment and Wiggly also took over the wheel for much of the time so that I could read the newspaper.

We did not manage to do much work on the way or make many telephone calls and finally went wrong with our directions on arrival so that we spent a fruitless half hour caught up in the city rush-hour traffic.

I was a bit upset with Wiggly over this but we eventually got to the hotel and settled in all right. The room was quite nice but the bathroom exceedingly small but we managed and set up the computer and mobile phones accordingly.

Then over to our first event of the fringe festival to the Gilded Balloon where we bought tickets to see Scottish comedian, Fred Macauley and went to see him after a meal at a nearby seafood restaurant. I found Fred quite funny if profane and enjoyed his performance.

A long walk after to the Mambo Club where it took a while for the atmosphere to get going but we eventually ended up dancing and enjoying ourselves before Wiggly pronounced herself tired enough to want to go to bed.

It was very late and so I just satisfied myself with some nice sex and then collapsed into a deep sleep.
