We were away for much of the time with me sleeping naked on warm nights in California but the weather back home was mostly mild but there were a few hard frosts at times.

This month started with me and the family enjoying a holiday in Southern California. I was missing Wiggly and seeking occasional solace with Diana seeing her in the next bed before I could go to sleep, which practice followed occasionally thereafter.
After breakfast at Cocos, a visit to the San Diego Zoo which was judged to be the biggest and best in the world with buses, trolley cars and a sky-lift to show you around.
Then driving north to spend the night in Motel 6 in Carpinteria and then on from San Diego to an expensive Travelodge in Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco, walking with Di along this row of stalls which was very busy with tourists.
After enjoying this and reviewing places to stay, we came across the nice Ocean Park Hotel, supposedly the oldest motel in San Francisco. Then driving out to Muir Woods and having scares over firstly losing the girls and then seeing Diana becoming ill with throat infection, but we still toured Alcatraz.
Diana had slept well and felt better the following morning, as we relaxed in bed a while and then took the Mini-Metro L downtown and had breakfast in the Fishermen's Wharf Cafe.
After this, we took the two ferries via Tiburon to Angel Island, the first Bay area location discovered by the early explorers. Then packing whilst checking on the flight and letting the family have their last ride on the cable car before collecting them at Fisherman's Wharf and travelling home via London.
During the journey, I was reading my backlog of shooting magazines, the Financial Times and Economist and even Byte Magazine. We arrived in the UK having lost a day due to the time zones whilst making our way home
During the entire holiday I was pining for Wiggly despite the surrogate sex with Diana and, after I successfully traded messages with Wiggly who was teasing me, I had now decided upon her for my future partner. contacting Wiggly to arrange to see her later.
I was jet-lagged, sleep-deprived and very busy trying to order competing priorities and was just pleased initially to take her for a Chinese meal at The Caxton Gibbet for a very enjoyable, if expensive, meal before having her in my arms and laying together after making love.
Then away to collect Sam from Lincoln with Wiggly to spend the weekend together. We had a drink at the outside tables of a pub by Brayford Pool in the evening sun before checking in to the Marriot Hotel for the night.
As the month progressed, I became increasingly attached to and occupied with Wiggly, The campaign to elect her for Eynesbury Ward was progressing and continued even after the St Neots Town Council elections were postponed with the death of one of our candidates.
The tragic news had reached us of the death of Gordon Webb, our Town Council Election candidate for the Eynesbury Ward, and so the election would be cancelled.
I was staying away with Wiggly, buying her gifts such plants and pots, whilst also organising her election and encouraging her with canvassing and organising the efforts to finish getting the rest of Eynesbury's Postal and Proxy votes registered.
All this election work was troublesome and time-consuming. Wiggly, who only wanted to make love for the most part, often ended up in tears with tiredness, stress and frustration but I always consoled her.
As a break from the campaign, we had trips to Norfolk on some weekends, dining at the Bridge Restaurant and staying in the Breckland Lodge until I got the key for Harnser from the builders and so moved in then with her.
We were fortunate to be in Norwich at Easter to ride some of the scary rides at the Easter Fair that occupied Castle Meadow and sharing an Easter egg. It was mild enough to take the Paxton Princess shopping in Wroxham with Wiggly and cruising back aboard after.
A low point was seeing the match at Carrow Road and watching Norwich lose. Then we had to some back early for Wiggly’s drama rehearsals and she was appreciative when I took her to the Cambridge Arts cinema where we watched the film "Leon”.
There was time for some affectionate cuddles and Wiggly seemed to be even more responsive now that we are more committed to one another. The elections were going well for us as the Tories were in disarray.
Their Leader, Derek Holley, going and their deputy, Mike Robertson likely to lose his election in Huntingdon and their next most-senior member, Pree Newbon, was also convinced she was going to lose to us in St Ives!
After cancelling the Royston Spring Pointing test entry for Sam today, I was putting up Eynesbury Flagboards in the rain whilst Sally's family were all helping with the election preparation and putting up flagboards.
I made a further Glisson Road visit to get our revised posters printed revised to take account of Gordon's death. Then Wiggly, Terry and I went canvassing in Duck Lane in the evening and she stayed up late writing the necessary copy for Eynesbury.
I was getting to grips with the St Neots campaign and so chose today to go over to see Neil Campbell for the first Gransden canvassing and the exceptional efforts being made in Staughton by John Grosvenor, meant that I decided that efforts should be concentrated there.
I was working on this election campaign right up to the end of the month, whilst getting help and installing the latest version of EARS 6.53 election software by email.
Despite this ever-deepening affair with Wiggly, there was still family time for that Californian holiday, which I still enjoyed, even though I returned still heavily jet-lagged and therefore wideawake in the early hours but then I still managed to spend several hours working at my desk and going through my papers.
Once home we found the house in disarray with Diana having visited the doctor for some antibiotic and the daughters having slept in to recover from jetlag.
I was spending time with Debbie on her Physics revision and Della and I joined Diana for the trip to Cambridge, where I did some chores, with Debbie staying at home to do some revision.
We still took Di's parents to lunch but then Diana discovered my weekend cinema tickets and a row followed with us sleeping separately and I got away from the emotional trauma by tackling the pigeons opposite but only bagged one.
I thought that this was the end, but Diana went ahead with her Wickstead Park outing and then I was shocked as Diana changed tack and we were mostly reconciled with us again sharing the same bed. I had poor news about my infection from a clinic appointment.
