Candidates meeting to get their resolve to fight on for Wiggly's District election

Following the death of our candidate Gordon Webb a new Eynesbury Town Council re-election was needed and so I called an evening Candidates meeting to get their resolve to fight on for Wiggly's District election

Our plans had been thrown into the melting pot by the death of Gordon Webb and so I had to establish the full ramifications of this turn of events with the Electoral Registration Officer of HDC, Trevor Amis first thing in the morning.

After some delay, he was able to confirm that a new Eynesbury Town Council re-election was needed and so I could then draft and send some press releases via John Roscoe, our Press Officer.

Life at home with Diana was becoming very difficult at this time, but my only plan was to hang on for the election.

In view of developments, I called a meeting of all of the Eynesbury Candidates and briefed them on the fact of Gordon's death and its implications and then obtained their resolve to fight on for Wiggly's District election and subsequently for the rearranged election for the Town Council.

Even our paper candidates had become increasingly enthusiastic at the possible prospect in them getting elected in a subsequently targeted campaign.
