Getting Della back to practising her piano-playing
Getting Della back to practising her piano-playing

I was fully recovering in health and working at my journal and spending time with the gardener and my girls, getting Della back to practising her piano-playing. Diana is thinking about my request for a dog and, whilst being swayed by the counteroffer of yearly holidays in California, is still very dubious.

Feeling much better today, I got up in time for breakfast and was then able to work at my journal this morning. I reclaimed some thick socks from the wash and wrapped up to keep warm in my cooler office and managed to sit there until lunch whilst Diana went into St Neots to do some chores and shopping.  I spoke also to the gardener for the first time in a while and paid him up to date. He managed to clear an enormous quantity of leaves from the lawns but seems to think that there is another mole in the danger area which I will have to deal with. By the end of the day, I had edited and archived my computer journal for both September and October and this was a good job well done; being a mammoth undertaking.

From now on, I have resolved to try to do this a month at a time and not get behind.  I watched some TV with Diana later and also spent time with the girls. I had managed to get Della back to practising her piano-playing and Debbie is both receiving and sending lots of letters, being in a "pen-pal" craze at the moment. She has to revise now for a host of forthcoming examinations and is a little nervous about it. Diana is thinking about my request for a dog and, whilst being swayed by the counteroffer of yearly holidays in California, is still very dubious about the whole idea.
