Debbie came and used my main computer as she gets the hang of word-processing

Catching with my care of the doves and fish and then Debbie came and used my main computer as she gets the hang of word-processing and writes back to hordes of pen-friends that still respond to her Jackie advert.

Daniel and Angela visit and stay for lunch and tea before he took Angela off in the evening to Newhaven to catch a very late overnight ferry back to France and I returned to Norfolk

I had a little trouble sleeping again last night as I no longer find the hardness of my Paxton bed very comfortable. In fact, when I do sleep in it, I wake up with a stiff back and a limb with pins-and-needles more often than not. Diana got the drinks and then disappeared for a while and so I used the shower first and then she came back and took over. She was concerned about making the Sunday lunch and would not tarry in bed and so I was soon down and working. I had to go out and feed the doves and check the mole traps - though I had no luck in catching any today. More attention to the fish which continue to grow and thrive in my pond and then I got the gardener's logbook in and sorted out his money for these last two weeks before coming back in for good.

I caught a glimpse of the Paxton Peacock this morning which had lost its tail feathers and was still growing more. Debbie came and used my main computer and I had to wait for her to finish. She is using it well and getting the hang of word-processing as she writes back to hoards of pen-friends that still respond to her Jackie advert. I sorted out and summarised these last two months journal entries, and would have done more but got very tired after all of my recent efforts. Then Daniel and Angela arrived and stayed for both lunch and tea and it was nice to see them continue to be well and happy together. He was interested in my shot gun and shooting in general, and I showed him some photographs of my Scottish trip. I gave him some petrol money and he took Angela off in the evening to Newhaven to catch a very late overnight ferry back to France.

I loaded up after tea as well and drove back to Norfolk, making the journey in only ninety minutes and arriving in good time to unload and settle in. Watched "The Elliott Sisters" and "London's Burning" on TV and then, after updating today's journal, went off early to bed, hoping that my Norfolk bed would give me sounder sleep.
