The morning making a bonfire out of the old timber and undergrowth that we had been clearing from the plot and moving earth around until I was astonished to find Diana, Daniel and Angela arriving at Heronshaw after his car had broken down in Wymondham.

After warming them up with a cup of tea whilst I finished off, Di took Angela home and I took Daniel to collect his car and towed it back to Paxton. The contractor had time to talk to me and we chatted about the task of raising bungalows and some of the experiences that he had undergone. Then back to it and I had just about disposed of the rubbish in the fire and was well under-way with the earth moving when I was astonished to find Diana, Daniel and Angela arriving at Heronshaw. Daniel had broken down in his car at Wymondham and Diana had to come and inform me as I was not able to receive telephone calls. I got them to go inside in the warm and make a cup of tea whilst I finished off and then Diana took Angela home and eventually I locked up and took Daniel with me to go and get his car. I towed it all the way home to Paxton and we broke the journey by having tea at a Happy Eater on the way. Arrived at dusk and then the rest of the evening attending to the mail and then sending out quotation requests for the timber to a number of Norfolk sawmills and timber merchants.
