Pathfinder House home of Huntingdonshire District Council before demolition

The start of the day with Debbie and the peacock again before Percy and Sally to come to join me to talk about our contribution to this afternoon's full meeting of the Huntingdonshire District Council, which went well. Then over to Eaton Socon by 6.30pm, helping with Derek Giles' campaign before Home quite late after not having eaten since lunch with no for either my journal or the inputting of more canvassing data

A bit of a lay in after last night's late bedtime, but still to the table in time to see Debbie off to school. Then I went out in the garden with Della to feed the peacock which is very partial to the dove food of mixed grain. I had arranged for Percy and Sally to come over at 11.00am and join me to talk about our contribution to this afternoon's full meeting of the District Council. Before then, I finished off our final response to Cllr Jim Whitehead's complaint, so as to be able to give it to him at the same meeting. Both our preparation for the meeting and the meeting itself went off very well as we managed to make an effective contribution without revealing that we had been away and had not actually prepared anything very much!

We were through by 6.00pm as we did not want to prolong the meeting and I was back in Eaton Socon by 6.30pm, helping with Derek Giles' campaign. I had Margaret Hunter (a real old traditional Liberal battle-axe) to help and I had to try to spend some time keeping her on the straight and narrow as she has her own bees in her bonnet and was deviating from our approved canvassing policy. Home quite late after not having eaten since lunch at the Pathfinder House canteen. No time for either my journal or the inputting of more canvassing data and then went to bed feeling a slight cold coming on.
