Debbie's first parents' evening at Kimbolton Main School
Debbie's first parents' evening at Kimbolton Main School

Time working in my office, now it was free from contractors and my chores on a fine but windy day. Before lunch with Di at the Bridge Hotel as we looked at new cars for her in St Neots.

Back and changed in time for my ONSITE Training Board Meeting which dragged on and then to Debbie's first parents' evening at Kimbolton Main School which was good, but she took the resulting suggestions to heart.

Another busy day but at least I had my office to myself. Up early again and finished my journal for yesterday before breakfast with the girls. Little Della was late up as her clock stopped last night and she did not go to sleep until late as a result: At least that was her excuse! I had a morning in the office doing a few things and then went into St Neots with Diana to have lunch at the Bridge Hotel and on to Hunts Motors to look at motor cars. Di wants a new Ford Fiesta for her birthday. Back and changed in time for my ONSITE Training Board Meeting.

I had read and absorbed the supporting information this morning and mounted it in a ring binder for ease of use. I intended the meeting to be short and sweet but not all the preparation had been done and the meeting dragged on a little. Not that it wasn't a good meeting, but the company was missing its income and profit targets and the other directors will have to learn the benefits of good planning and time management. We had several refreshment breaks and I ended the meeting at 5.30pm with everyone agreed on the actions that they had to take for the forthcoming month. Home to a late tea and then a little time organising my FOCUS delivery rounds for Paxton before it was time to leave for Debbie's first parents' evening at Kimbolton Main School. It was also the Little Paxton School Association AGM but we had to send our apologies for that via Linda.

The verdict on Debbie was quite reasonable. She is presently weaker on her French and Maths but is working hard to improve them. Mrs Butler pointed out her need to be more organised as she kept forgetting her books etc and Mr Dear would like to see her taking part in more lunch-time activities. Di discussed these points with Debbie when we came home and she is quite resolved to do so. A fine day today, if a bit windy, and the painters were struggling on to finish the job.
