Customer meetings and Comart Board meeting preparations on a cold and very frosty day as the workmen build my new wall whilst the Italians vacate Beirut and the French lorry drivers are on strike again

Early to the office on another very cold day. The frost deposit this morning was as thick as any other recent day. The heating was having difficulty again in warming the office on this frosty meeting. Attendance and timekeeping were much better today than a week ago. I spend the first half hour today dropping my car off at the garage to have the central door locking and speedometer mended. Then a quick look at the mail and time to prepare a few papers before three Directors from Plume Computer Services arrived to discuss their solvency.

Plume have been allowed to develop debts of £17K with us but are disarmingly honest and compliant and agree to our actions to aid their recovery and our debt settlement. A sandwich lunch and afternoon writing up the Plume debacle and struggling with endless work priorities. I work the evening analysing the January Comart Computers Linited results and writing up my summary comments for the Comart Review Meeting. Home late and cold from the unheated office. The workmen have finished the chimney stack and are progressing the wall and balcony. The ducks have laid six eggs and now both Diana and I are starting to exhibit cold symptoms. Such is life. News today is of the Italians vacating Beirut and continued trouble from protesting French lorry drivers.
