Group Review Meeting & plans for the new Duck House and then some work for the BMMG

A cool day with fine showers, but none of the storms of yesterday. This morning, my mid-week hair wash and off to a Group Review Meeting. We review the group performance in May for all subsidiary companies and are particularly concerned with the London Byte Shop where Bob Robinson is allowing his stocks and overdraft to spiral out of control. There is a rumour that he intends to resign and if he did I would surely accept.

Also to agree in final form 1983/4 operating budgets for all group subsidiaries which is gratefully completed. This afternoon, the completion of much work and correspondence leaving tomorrow free for reviews, administration and other items. I am pleased and more relaxed to be up to date. This evening I work on the detailed plans and parts list for the new duck house. I fear the task must be completed this weekend and the chicks are growing quickly and the ducks are turning on them for lack of space. In fact one duckling is looking very poorly but thankfully eats well this evening. More news of the good recovery of severed arm victims and continuing sympathy for Francis Pym. I have written this day to Mr Cecil Parkinson to introduce myself and the BMMG. The dates of convenience for meeting Mr Baker are now confirmed and I approve an Agenda for a BMMG Council Meeting.
